What is it?

TableTop Journeys transforms familiar board games into rich, story-driven adventures. Our narrative modules add a layer of character, intrigue, and dynamic events—bringing elements of role-playing into the world of strategy and family games.

In every Journey, players take on unique roles with personal goals, secret motivations, and special abilities. The core gameplay remains recognizable, but added mechanics—like faction dynamics, character abilities, and randomized events—introduce new layers of tension, cooperation, and surprise.

Whether through small changes like hidden objectives or larger additions such as custom maps, evolving storylines, or dramatic game-changing cards, a Journey reimagines your favorite game night with fresh energy and immersive storytelling.

Our modules are designed to be compatible with popular tabletop game systems, including tile placement, train route building, property trading, and resource management games.

What’s Included?

A Journey is a narrative add-on that builds on the core mechanics of an existing game. It brings a role-playing experience—often found in video games or tabletop RPGs—into the structure of well-known board games.
Each Journey begins with the characters you play and expands the game world through thematic mechanics. Depending on the story, you might find:

Character cards with biography, in-game objectives, and any bonuses the character possesses.

Custom rules: New rules tailored to the story’s theme.

New game board: A specially designed board that reflects the story’s setting, with unique regions and thematic details.

Dynamic event cards: New cards that trigger dramatic, story-driven effects at random moments in the game—or new Chance / Community Chest cards tailored to the narrative.

Progression cards: Unlock new bonuses to influence the course of the game.

You will receive all materials as a digital download in your TableTop account, allowing you to print and use the custom rules, cards, and character sheets right away.
